Level 1 Diploma in Lucid Dreaming

This Lucid Dreaming Diploma offers 50 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and is designed for qualified psychotherapists, psychotherapeutic counsellors, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists and meditation teachers seeking a comprehensive grounding in the academic research, neuroscience, and esoteric history of lucid dreaming.

Made up of 5 in-person days plus five online tutorials, guest teacher modules and homework assignments spread over 5 months, this professional training includes modules on:

● The esoteric history of lucid dreaming and dream yoga

● The scientific history of lucid dreaming

● Nightmare integration science

● The science of lucid dreaming in PTSD treatment

● Therapeutic possibilities of lucid dreaming

● The future of lucid dreaming in clinical settings

The training also features presentations on safeguarding and best practices to help participants discern which clients might benefit from lucid dreaming and, crucially, which clients may not.

Charlie Morley will be joined by Core Process psychotherapist James Scurry, who will present therapeutic perspectives on lucid dreaming. The program also includes masterclasses from clinical psychologist Dr. Heather Sequeira on Trauma & Safeguarding and sleep expert and CPP psychotherapist Heather Darwall-Smith on “Sleep Disturbances in Clients.”

While there will be some discussion of lucid dreaming techniques, the focus of this training is less about how to share lucid dreaming with clients and more about why to share it.

Prerequisites

Participants must complete the following prerequisites to attend:

● One Lucid Dreaming retreat (3-5 days) with Charlie Morley

● Read the new edition of Dreams of Awakening.

● Experienced two fully lucid dreams

Upon Completion Graduates of the 50-hour Lucid Dreaming Diploma will have:

● A solid foundation in the academic research of lucid dreaming

● Knowledge of when to recommend lucid dreaming to clients

● The skills to teach clients about the clinical research on lucid dreaming

● Confidence to incorporate lucid dreaming into their therapeutic practice

Participants will also receive a 50-Hour Lucid Dream Facilitator Training Certificate, meeting the CPD requirements of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
